eco¹⁸ has been designed so as not to contribute to the “heat island effect” of traditional building developments in the city. 

Pavement open to the sun has been eliminated as 100% of the parking for the project will be located inside the building envelope at the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd floors.

The roof covering over the portion of the garage not covered by the condominium tower is covered by a green roof.

The roof area over the 12^th floor, the "high" roof, will have a superior SRI, or “solar reflective index” rating, and will be Energy Star compliant.
